Used Car For Sale By Owner
1997 Nissan Sentra GXE for sale. This 22 year-old car just keeps going…I’m now using it as a commuter, but want something a little newer. I split my 20-mile commute between this car and an old truck. Due to its age, it does have some issues. See the photo’s that show rust on all 4 corners and hood. The A/C has always worked, but toward the end of this summer I noticed it would cycle from cold to warm every few minutes – but only when the outside temp got really hot - like above 90. Not sure what’s up with that. Heater and rear defrost works fine. Years ago, my son installed a sub-woofer when he had it at school (the reason we bought the car in the first place). I never used it, and I think it still works, but just needs the wiring reconnected. All the components are there as far as I know. I didn’t remove anything. To my old ears, the stereo sounds fine as it is. The front power windows work. The right rear side doesn’t. The power door locks are intermittent. The switch on the drivers door armrest doesn’t feel like it works correctly. The tires are a couple of years old, and they only have 13k miles on them. They seem to be wearing well, with no uneven or unusual wear that I can see. It zips down the freeway surprisingly well, but not being a luxury car, there’s a lot of road noise, especially on the concrete sections of road. It does great on the Legacy Highway though. It’ll be due for an oil change in about 1k miles. I try to change the oil (using conventional oil) every 3 or 4k miles. The seats are not torn, but they are faded from the sun. I bought the car used about 100k miles ago. I’ve never wrecked it, but there’s evidence of at least a fender-bender in its former life. The title is clean.

    Vin Info Has Changed

    What’s this mean?

KSL Cars uses VIN info to automatically pull details about vehicles listed on the site. The seller edited some info when they created this listing – the changes they made are marked with this symbol.

This doesn’t always mean something is wrong – we just think you should know that changes were made. But it’s probably a good idea to ask the seller about them. As always, if you don’t feel comfortable about it, do not proceed with the purchase.
