I’ll try to keep this short, but there is a lot of info on this van. Let me first start by saying, a lot of time and money has been put into getting this van dialed.
She is a VR6 Eurovan Winnebago Full Camper - Loaded with everything you'd want in a compact camper. This van is the fourth generation of the well-known VW camper van heritage, “The Westy” - Westfalia.
This VW Eurovan can proudly carry the tradition of the VW Combi name with its outstanding camping capabilities and practical features. The vehicle is equipped with economical and durable VR6 six-cylinder 12v engine. The Eurovan Winnebago Camper has more space (longer than a standard or Weekender Eurovan), proper air conditioning, rear LP heater, and very comfortable beds, smooth quiet driving and much more. The 1997 - 2003 are the very best campers Volkswagen ever made for the US. The Eurovan Winnebago is the only Volkswagen Full-camper after the 1991 Westfalia Vanagon.
Runs phenomenal, the interior is in great condition, clean throughout. It is comfortable, practical, easy and fun to drive.
If you are familiar with these you know that these vans ride fairly low, so GoWesty.com came up with a lift kit that puts the van up a couple of more inches enabling it to have better clearance and run 16” wheels for a better ride. Read more if you’d like to learn more. http://www.gowesty.com/tech-article-details.php?id=26
The van sleeps 4 comfortably, 2 up top, and 2 on the pullout couch. New BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2’s. Van is equipped with a full galley with working Stove, Fridge, Sink, and rear LP heater. Equipment runs on multiple sources battery, 110V and LP. A common issue with these vans is the fridges are not great, and they become problematic while in propane mode. I won’t bore you with the details- but you could either do what I did and either use it as extra dry storage, or for 1-2 day trips, I’d just place a frozen gallon of water in there and use it as a cooler or you could just pull it out and replace it with shelves. (Gowesty.com sells a great kit) There are tons of cabinets, storage and wardrobe closet. Comes with full shades, front cab. Ready for your next camping trip.
Van’s recent upgrades-
Texture lined bottom of van.
New BF Goodrich KO2’s
Wheels plasti dipped in black- (If you don’t like that look, it will peel off)
New Tent top
Cargo Net/Gear hammock
High-efficiency headlight bulbs
Entertainment Organizer
Passenger area rubber mat
New Carbon Monoxide alarm
2 inch hitch- (used for bike rack only)
Yakima rack on top
Full dark tinted windows for stealth camping
Memory Foam pad for extra comfort for bed
Fiamma Awning ($1,000 value)- shade is excellent.
Truly a must-see vehicle to appreciate.
