2008 Dodge Sprinter

Mileage: 108,000

Bluffdale, UT | Posted October 31, 2019

$19,900

Used Car For Sale By Owner
Van specs:
- 144' wheelbase
- Mileage 108,000
- Extra tall height inside so you can stand up even if you're 6'2
- Queen sized bed in the back with a narrow twin size mattress as the top bunk which I used for my kids (If you don't need the top bunk I would recommend removing that bunk bed portion and putting in shelving because storage is always needed)
- 3L turbo diesel engine
- Van usually seats 12, I have removed two of the rows (included with the van) and one of the rows can easily be added back in for a total of 8 seats. I removed the front row so that I could fit two pack-and-plays for my daughters. If the other rows of seats aren't needed they usually sell for $400-$600
History: I am the second owner of this van. It was originally used by a company in Idaho which used it to transport kids to and from after school programs. I bought it and built beds in the back so that I could use it as a campervan. I received all of the maintenance records from the original owner.
Things to know: This car does have some cosmetic issues on the inside and out but does not have any mechanical issues. There is some rust on the sliding door and dents on the outside of the car. The inside has some random cosmetic issues. Most important thing to know is that it has a faulty sensor that monitors the level of the oil in the engine so when you drive on the freeway after 20-30 minutes the "engine oil high" light comes on because as the engine heats up the oil expands and triggers the sensor. The manual recommends siphoning off some of the oil and resetting the sensor which I have done in the past but it hasn't changed anything. I contacted the original owner and he also had this issue. Two mechanics have been unable to fix the sensor and since it doesn't actually do anything I have given up on it. I recently had the van inspected when I was getting the air conditioning tuned up for the summer and van got a clean bill of health from the dealership.
Why I'm selling: My wife told me she wanted a three row car but when I brought this home I was informed "That's not what I meant" and "Why do you keep disappointing me". Now that I've had my fun it's time to save my marriage. Please take the van off my hands so you too can disappoint your significant other.

    Vin Info Has Changed

    What’s this mean?

KSL Cars uses VIN info to automatically pull details about vehicles listed on the site. The seller edited some info when they created this listing – the changes they made are marked with this symbol.

This doesn’t always mean something is wrong – we just think you should know that changes were made. But it’s probably a good idea to ask the seller about them. As always, if you don’t feel comfortable about it, do not proceed with the purchase.
