$8,000

Selling my 1951 ford F3 pickup, 239 flathead V8, 3 speed manual transmission. The cab and floor boards are in pretty good shape, the cab corners are showing some surface rust, but aren't rusted through. Both doors are straight, rust free, open and close, and both windows roll up and down freely, but do need new weather stripping and anti rattle kits. The windshield is cracked on the passenger side, the rear window is also cracked. the front fenders are fairly straight, but the bottom fronts do have dents on both sides, and the bottom rears show rust through on both sides. The 8 foot express bed is pretty rough, both sides have rust through as do both fenders. That being said I have replaced the entire wood sub frame and floor. The floor is plywood that I have treated with lindseed oil with the original metal strips on top. Now to the mechanical side. Rebuilt carburetor, generator, fuel pump, flushed and pressure tested radiator, flushed block, new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing, I also had the flywheel resurfaced, new water pumps on both sides, new radiator hoses, new gas tank, new spark plugs, original style wires, cap and rotor, points and condenser, new battery and 00 cables to the solenoid and starter, (the ground is still the original braided strap style) Truck is still original 6 volt positive ground and has been completely rewired front to back and works perfectly with the exception of the fuel gauge, temperature gauge, (there are 2 mechanical gauges mounted under the dash to monitor both heads, but can easily be removed to give the dash a clean original look. There are no non factory holes anywhere on the dash) and factory am radio, I actually haven't tried hooking it up though, so I don't know for sure on the radio, but with all the tubes etc. I'm sure it would need something. The engine has a new oil pan gasket and bottom half of the old rope style main oil seals, with no leaks. transmission and rear axle have fresh oil. Front axle has new king pins and bushings, wheel seals and freshly packed wheel bearings, new tie rod ends and rebuilt draglink ends. Rebuilt master cylinder and front wheel cylinders with new front brake shoes, new rear wheel cylinders, rear brake shoes are nearly new. The tires are tubeless 235/85r16's that are about half worn, and 3 of the rims are from an f2 so are able to use the factory hub caps, the fourth is a later model. I still have 3 of the original widow maker 17's if you want them. I'm sure I'm missing many other odds and ends as well. My wife and I regularly drive the truck and enjoy it just the way it is, and for a 69 year old truck it drives good and straight, no death wobble or hard pulling either side. That being said with the original timken differential it does not go fast, 40-45 is comfortable, (the speedometer works) it will do 50-55, but it's getting fairly wound up so I don't recommend expecting to drive it that fast. The original color of the truck would have been the green color of the interior, at some point it has been painted white, and I don't know what they were thinking when they rattle canned the bed. I don't have to sell the truck, and I don't need or want help selling it either so scammers stay away!!! To the rest of the honest people, thanks for looking.

    Vin Info Has Changed

    What’s this mean?

KSL Cars uses VIN info to automatically pull details about vehicles listed on the site. The seller edited some info when they created this listing – the changes they made are marked with this symbol.

This doesn’t always mean something is wrong – we just think you should know that changes were made. But it’s probably a good idea to ask the seller about them. As always, if you don’t feel comfortable about it, do not proceed with the purchase.
