1999 Ford F-250 XLT

Mileage: 317,000

Salt Lake City, UT | Posted August 29, 2020

$6,500

I’m selling a ‘99 F-250 crewcab Ford with a 7.3 liter PowerStroke turbo diesel engine.
First the good: the truck runs well and pulls like an ox, I’ve owned it for approximately 3 years.
In that time I’ve installed a PHP Hydra tuner, AFE intake and 4-inch MagnaFlow turbo back exhaust with high-flow cat. It has a 4-pod gauge pillar with boost, EGT, trans temp and HPOP pressures. A new HPOP was installed less than 1,000 miles ago. Newer Big-O XT tires installed about 1-1.5 years ago, and still have plenty of tread. The stock transmission cooler has been swapped in favor of a much bigger unit out of a 6.0 truck. The transmission holds gear just fine and shifts well. I installed new heavy duty Warn manual hubs on the front axle as well. The A/C blows cold and the truck has always passed emissions.
Now the not as good:
This truck spent part of its life on a farm and has been worked, so there are some dents and a little rust.
The truck is also burning oil, to what extent I’m not exactly sure. It makes good power and has no issues starting, running or idling though. It’s always maintained good oil pressure and has never overheated on me, The transfer case is electronic and I believe the shift motor for it has gone out. The 4-wheel drive works, but the front drive line is spinning all the time. The truck does also leak some oil although this has been partly remedied with the new HPOP. The windshield also has a couple of cracks. It may need tie-rods sooner rather than later as well. I love this truck, but bought a newer one with less miles and more leather. All in all it’s a good truck and has lots of life left in it. My wife is even sad to see it go.

    Vin Info Has Changed

    What’s this mean?

KSL Cars uses VIN info to automatically pull details about vehicles listed on the site. The seller edited some info when they created this listing – the changes they made are marked with this symbol.

This doesn’t always mean something is wrong – we just think you should know that changes were made. But it’s probably a good idea to ask the seller about them. As always, if you don’t feel comfortable about it, do not proceed with the purchase.
