2008 Honda Fit Sport

Mileage: 98,000

Boise, ID | Posted February 10, 2021

$5,000

After 5 years of ownership it’s time to sell my 2008 Honda Fit. I was hoping to keep it to teach my kids to drive stick on, but my wife says I have too many vehicles. She’s not wrong. It’s fun to drive, roomy, safe, and has been dead reliable for me and I expect the same for several years to come. I’ve driven it year round and put ~23k miles on it during my ownership with no troubles. It does great on dirt and snow and is a lot of fun on the road with the manual transmission.
The good:
-Mechanically great, regular oil changes with synthetic, service up to date. No leaks, no issues. Also, it has a timing change so there’s no expensive service coming up.
-Manual transmission, 5 speed with a Buddy Club short shifter. Shifts are tight but smooth.
-The seats can be folded and adjusted to a ton of configurations. You can sleep in it, put a bike inside, fit skis or a snowboard, etc. For people hauling the rear legroom is great, I’m 6’2” and I can comfortably fit in the back.
-It’s the Sport model, which means it has cruise control, better wheels, an aux input on the stereo, and a spoiler.
-Good mileage (I average 30 with a mix of city and highway).
-Low miles, only ~7600/year on average. Just under 99k on the clock.
-Fresh tires last year, does just fine in snow.
-Everything works. Heat, A/C, cruise, all stereo functions, etc.
-Clean title. According to CarFax I’m the 4th owner. The CarFax report shows a minor accident in 2010. Happy to send this over to a prospective buyer.
The less good:
-Still on it’s original clutch, definitely not dead but will likely need replaced in the next 10-15k miles.
-Condition all around is definitely not new. The exterior has dents and some paint issues, the interior has some stains and scuffs. I’ve hauled dogs around in it, it will be sold as clean as I can get it but there may be some leftover dog hair.
-The hatch on these cars are notorious for leaking a bit during rain, this one is no exception. If you park outside you’ll get a bit of water in the spare tire well. I just sponge it up when I notice it.
Asking $5,000. Located in the North End, happy to show it with proper COVID precautions. Test drives with cash in hand. Email or text if interested, thank you!

    Vin Info Has Changed

    What’s this mean?

KSL Cars uses VIN info to automatically pull details about vehicles listed on the site. The seller edited some info when they created this listing – the changes they made are marked with this symbol.

This doesn’t always mean something is wrong – we just think you should know that changes were made. But it’s probably a good idea to ask the seller about them. As always, if you don’t feel comfortable about it, do not proceed with the purchase.
