"Explorer - America's Van" Conversion Van for sale. If you're looking for a conversion van that is comfortable, luxurious, roomy or just plain awesome, you've found it! EAV is the elite conversion van company that buys brand new vans from Chevy, takes them apart and makes them AWESOME. They took this van and turned it into a limo on steroids! Big comfy chairs, lots of room, power reclining rear seat with just the push of a button, TV, surround sound system, custom lighting, black-out shades...pretty much everything you need to roll around in comfort and style. This van is guaranteed to make your friends jealous! It even has lights and sirens on it as well as a PA system that's really fun to talk in while you're driving around. The strobe lights are in the grill, on the front and on the back of the van. If you're curious, I can text you pics of them going at night.
We bought this van a few years ago to haul 8 kids around and took it on maybe 5 or 6 road trips. 3 of them are now out of the house and the others are busy living their own lives in high school and such and are too cool to hang out with the family anyway - that being said, it's been sitting in an indoor storage unit for over a year. Every so often, we pull it out and drive it because we don't like to let it sit for too long. In hopes of finding a reason to use it more often, we've decided to let someone else enjoy it and go have fun with it.
At one point, I had considered sending it down to Vegas and leasing it out to UBER drivers and have also considered stripping out all of the cool stuff inside and making it like an RV because converted vans turned into RVs are selling for 50-60k . Unfortunately, I don't have time for that so I guess we may as well say goodbye.
In pricing all of this out, this van is worth about $30,000-$33,000 but there's a few small things I don't have energy or time to take care of so someone looking for a deal is going to take this thing home and feel pretty good about it. Here's the list of known flaws:
TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) will occasionally act up. Most of the time it doesn't, but it will occasionally flash a warning saying the left-front tire is low even thought it isn't or that it has lost connection with the sensors. My local tire shop said that it's more annoying that it is an issue, so if it doesn't bug you, don't worry about it, but if you want to make it go away, they recommended changing the TPMS sensors on each tire which are about $50 per tire. If you pay a shop to do it, it will take them about an hour, so for $200-$300, you can make the occasional error messages go away.
Front speakers in the front doors have been removed and consequently, you can't hear the music up front. This was done before we bought it because it was being used as a limo-type vehicle and they removed the speakers up front so that the chauffeur could take calls on his phone to schedule meetings, flights, etc. for his passengers. We never put speakers up there because we found that it was nice to throw the kids in the back and let them crank up the tunes and sit up front in peace. Again, not something I have time to do but if you want to do it, have at it.
The running board on the drivers side should be repainted. It looks like maybe it got hot or something and messed up the paint. I always planned on having it done or even doing it myself but never did because at the end of the day, it didn't bother me enough. It would be easy to sand down and paint up in an afternoon, but again, I'm not interested in doing it.
The check engine light will occasionally turn on and then go off on its own. The codes that it throws are for an EVAP leak. We took it to the dealer about a year ago and they guessed it would cost about $1200-$1500 to fix. They said it was likely being caused by a faulty sensor and possibly a bad O-ring but recommended servicing the entire system and having it checked to be sure. They also said that it was okay to drive it without repairing this and since we hardly use it, were going to do it but just never did because it's been sitting. That being said, I've reduced the price substantially to accommodate for this. Hopefully they tell you I'm an idiot and just wasn't screwing the gas cap on tight enough which is apparently a common cause of EVAP codes - but again, not worth my time to take it in and do it. If you're handy, you might even be able to do it yourself - I am very much NOT and wouldn't even dream of it. As far as I know, it could just be a bad Flux-Capacitor!
That's about all I can remember right at the moment so feel free to shoot me a text and we can talk more details and I'll be happy to answer any questions. I'd be happy to send more pics, videos, FaceTime and take you on a virtual tour/test drive, etc. This thing is perfect for someone looking for a great road tripper, a vehicle to be driven around in, UBER or LYFT, to have a cool car, or just about anything else you can think of. The V8 runs strong and although I've never towed with it, can pull a decent size load. It does have a tow package and light hook-ups and it ready to tow. Bluetooth audio receiver is a nice upgrade and works great as does everything else really. Let me know if you'd like to see more or want to check it out and we can schedule a time to look at it. It's currently down in one of my empty boat storage units at Lake Powell where it won't get rained on but would be happy to show it down there or bring it back over to St George for you to see. I've priced it to sell because I'll take the boat back over there in June and will ideally have sold the van by then and can put the boat back where it belongs for the summer! I have the clean title in hand ready to go. I also have the CARFAX which I can provide as well.
If you call and I don't answer, make sure to leave a message or shoot me a text. I get about 8 spam calls a day and I'm sure you do too - that being said, I don't always answer calls from numbers I don't recognize because I don't need an extended warranty and I've already paid my taxes!
I've put together a short list of options below to give you an idea of what it has:
2009 Chevy 2500 Express Conversion Van
6.0 V8
130,000 miles (might even be a few less)
-Upgraded center digital screen
-Bluetooth audio
-Steering wheel audio controls
-Cruise control
-Independent rear climate
-Custom ambient lighting
-Rear TV w/ surround sound system
-Power folding rear bench seat that can fold flat
-Seats 7 passengers as is but supposedly you can put another row of seats in-front of the bucket/captains chairs in the back
-Custom cool wheels
I think KSL will crash if I type anything else so shoot me a text and we can talk specifics!

    What’s this mean?

KSL Cars uses VIN info to automatically pull details about vehicles listed on the site. The seller edited some info when they created this listing – the changes they made are marked with this symbol.
