1993 Honda Accord EX

Mileage: 204,500

Mesquite, NV | Posted May 3, 2021

$1,500

Asking $1500.00 OBO
(My name is Chandler, I'm listing this for my dad. His name is David. He will be taking the communication regarding this listing. The contact info on this listing is all for David, so you can speak directly with him. He's the owner, and knows all about it. - Just placing this little explanation/disclaimer since the listing reads like it's coming from a third party.)
1993 Honda Accord EX
For sale by second owner. Current owner purchased this Accord from his sister who bought it brand new in '93. It's been garage kept by both owners all along. Neither of them are smokers.
The motor is in great shape and runs strong. Interior is in excellent shape, no tears, no cracks, no fading. The radio is original and works. Brand new tires, fewer than 500 miles on them as of today. Has always had regular service and maintenance. Electronic door locks, electronic windows, all of which work properly. Sun roof opens, closes and seals along with the shade slider. Rear window defrost and heater work well.
Known issues include - Power steering. It's going bad, but the cause hasn't been specifically determined by a mechanic. Air conditioning. It hasn't worked in years and years. The pump was working properly last time it was looked at, but there had been a leak somewhere in the system. General oil and fluid leaks. The garage floor has been collecting some drips below the power steering and the oil pan. The puddles are not growing quickly, but they do exist. As pictured, the front bumper has damage on the passenger side. I (Chandler) was driving on the freeway and ran into a hunk of semi truck tire that couldn't be avoided given the traffic at the time. It's only cosmetic. The turn signal has been replaced and works properly. The other photos also show the dents and dings and small rust spots that are present.
The most noticeable issue the car has is that when it's hot outside it doesn't like to start. It hasn't been diagnosed by a mechanic, but I believe it's getting vapor lock. In this case I believe that the gasoline in the lines right near the motor are hot enough to cause the gasoline to become a gas instead of a fluid. When that happens the fuel won't flow to the engine properly and it won't run or start. It corrects itself when it cools down enough. Usually after about 15-20 minutes of sitting without running. If it's hot enough weather, waiting until after sundown has solved it too.
Please direct questions through calls or texts to 801-372-3361 for David.
Thanks for looking.

    Vin Info Has Changed

    What’s this mean?

KSL Cars uses VIN info to automatically pull details about vehicles listed on the site. The seller edited some info when they created this listing – the changes they made are marked with this symbol.

This doesn’t always mean something is wrong – we just think you should know that changes were made. But it’s probably a good idea to ask the seller about them. As always, if you don’t feel comfortable about it, do not proceed with the purchase.
