This is our mystery Mazda. Up until about 4 months ago, it ran like a dream. We replace a blown engine with a rebuilt motor and added an aftermarket air intake: it was the perfect runaround car. Then about 4 months ago, it threw a &amp;rdquo;random multiple misfire&amp;rdquo; (P0300) code and became our unsolved mystery. 

The current motor has about 130K miles (the odometer read 109K when we installed the motor which had 120K miles already). Currently, the car runs but will occasionally stall at a low or cold idle. The other mysterious symptom is sluggish acceleration in first gear. We&amp;rsquo;ve had two different shops diagnose the issues and have made some of the recommended repairs. All the issues point to the check engine code.
