2006 Porsche Boxster base trim, also know as a 987 or second generation

Selling to pursue a 911. Absolutely loved this car and how it handles. The Carmen metallic red color is beautiful, and really pops in direct sunlight. Black interior looks great with the marron/red exterior. This car is amazing to drive, especially in the canyons with the top down. Exterior and interior are in good shape considering the age.

4 tires were installed by the dealer when I bought it back in May-2022. Unfortunately I had two separate nail in the tire scenarios and had to replace the two front tires within the last 5K miles. 

Front brake pads and rotors were replaced last year in June. Replaced the battery last month. Other than that just an oil change has been done by me.

Audio Upgrade: Professionally installed Sony headset with Bluetooth, Apple Play, and Car Audio. Pairs great with the high-end Bose speaker that came with the car. Headset upgrade was $1,200. Back-up camera can be easily added to this system.

Convertible top had a lot of work done just prior to me taking ownership. The dealer replaced several parts including a motor to ensure I didn't have any issues. This second generation Boxster has the much improved IMS, which overcomes the serious problems known to occur often with the first generation. I would avoid a first generation for this reason, unless the IMS has been replaced. This model also returned to the traditional oval shaped headlights, where the first generation has the less than diserable egg-shaped ones.

Accessories: Porsche printed seat covers, custom 987 Porsche sunshade, and Foxwell NT530 multi-system scanner tool (sells on Amazon for $170), and I might throw in the CTEK 40-206 MXS 5.0 battery charger I just bought to keep the batter going through the colder months when you drive less often.

Known Issues;

* CarFax shows two accidents, both of which were minor. Has clean title. Dealer performed a frame inspection before selling it to me. I can send the copy I got from the dealer last May.

* Driver side mirror motor doesn't work, but you can adjust manually. Appears to be a simple fix.

* In-dash cup holder is having issues, but will function. Very easy to replace and not too expensive.

* Rear brake pads and rotors will probably need to be replaced in the next year

* No other known issues, especially anything that affects the drive-ability

* There are always cosmetic parts that could be replaced on a 16 old car

I'll be taking some pictures of the interior here shortly. Not in any hurry to sell, so the price is pretty firm. Please don't send low ball offers. I have a clean title in hand, to facilitate an easy deal.
