This is a great car, and I am quite sad to be selling it. It&amp;rsquo;s been very reliable and still has a ton of life left in it.

It&amp;rsquo;s a 2017 6-speed manual transmission Ford Focus SE with a 1.0L EcoBoost engine. I&amp;rsquo;ve owned it since 2018 when it had 11,000 miles on it, and I&amp;rsquo;ve loved it and driven it up to 77,500 miles. It&amp;rsquo;s taken my family on road trips all over the west, it&amp;rsquo;s been a reliable commuter car from Provo to West Valley for years, and it&amp;rsquo;s been great for just getting around the valley.

I took it into a Ford dealership for a safety recall about a year after I bought it, and all the workers got big eyes when they saw a stick shift EcoBoost engine Ford Focus. I guess they aren&amp;rsquo;t very common because they were all asking me how I got it. Ever since the dealership found out I have it, I get contacted at least once a month with them making me an offer for a trade-in because they really want it.

The title is clean. I was in one accident on icy roads not long after I bought it, but all the damage was purely cosmetic and I had it all fixed up.

One of the biggest complaints about the Ford Focus cars is that the transmission goes out. Since this one is a manual transmission, it does not have the same faulty transmission, and there are no common complaints about it that I am aware of.

One common issue with the EcoBoost engines is that after a while the turbo boost locks up and has to be replaced, which is about a $1500 fix. The good news is I have already replaced the turbo boost in this car. This was at around 65,000 miles. The mechanic that replaced it told me that even though Ford doesn&amp;rsquo;t say this car needs full synthetic oil, it will really extend the life of the turbo. So ever since I replaced it, I&amp;rsquo;ve been doing full synthetic oil changes, and the mechanic said the turbo will likely last at least another 125,000 to 150,000 miles (on top of the 65,000) if that continues.

Other maintenance history includes just small things, including replacing an oxygen sensor and replacing a vacuum pump. I also replaced the vapor canister purge valve myself after it got a little clogged with debris at around 70,000 miles. The battery was also just replaced as of 1/7/2023.

The gas mileage is phenomenal. My average gas mileage on the trip computer after running for 3 years straight read 38.6 MPG, which included a good mix of highway driving and driving around town. When I tracked my average mileage separately just during my highway commute from Provo to West Valley every day, it read an average of 43.2 MPG. I can drive from Provo to St. George on about half of a tank.

The vehicle has never been smoked in, and we&amp;rsquo;ve done our best to keep it clean. We shampooed the seats recently, wiped all the surfaces, and gave it a good vacuum, so it should be nice and clean for whoever chooses to buy it.

It has a few small scratches on the exterior, as one would expect from a used car. There&amp;rsquo;s one small paint chip gone on the left rear passenger door from someone being careless in a parking lot. Someone also bumped it from behind in a parking lot and left a tiny dent in the back bumper that is really only noticeable if you are looking closely for it. In general, the paint of the car does a pretty good job of not making scratches too obvious.

When I bought it I had two spare keys cut and programmed, so three working keys are included with the car.

It has integrated Bluetooth and a backup camera. It uses the SYNC interface that is common in a lot of Ford&amp;rsquo;s vehicles, so it lets you browse USB media, play Bluetooth or AUX audio, and all that stuff, but no integrated navigation. There are voice commands available that respond reasonably well.

I think it&amp;rsquo;s a pretty high-value car, and whoever buys it will be well-served by it. Asking $12,500, but open to reasonable offers.
