Selling my 2008 Subaru Forester because I&amp;rsquo;ve recently upgraded to a truck for work. This has been an amazing little car and honestly I would keep it around for winter driving and road trips because it handles the snow so well and gets great fuel economy, it&amp;rsquo;s also just really fun to drive with the 5 speed manual trans and handles really well, but alas I&amp;rsquo;m not in the business of collecting cars so here I am offering it up to you. 
It has higher miles than some other comparable listings, but is ready for another 100,000  miles  easily now that some recent major repairs have been done. I had the timing belt kit and water pump replaced just 600 miles ago as well as the CV axle, knuckle, ball joint and tie rod end on the passenger side. I also just had the driveshaft replaced last week. In total I&amp;rsquo;ve spent about $3500 in parts and labor to get this car ready to sell. I realize that doesn&amp;rsquo;t translate to market value but should let potential buyers feel confident that this car has a lot of life left in it. If you&amp;rsquo;ve done your research on Foresters then you know those are the two major service items to watch out for and I&amp;rsquo;ve already taken care of them for you! 
It&amp;rsquo;s the perfect ski resort rally car, road trip vehicle or commuter because it handles well, is safe to drive and gets fantastic fuel economy. On the highway I average around 25mpg and normal city driving around 20-22mpg, which I&amp;rsquo;ve tracked meticulously throughout the time I&amp;rsquo;ve owned it. 
In the spirit of being honest and upfront I will also disclose that the AC compressor likely needs to be replaced before summertime, the ac belt broke this winter and it feels like the compressor bearing wore out, but I haven&amp;rsquo;t fully diagnosed it, the AC always worked really well before that. The heater still works great. 
This would make a great commuter or first car for the younger generation. It will also come with a second set of wheels and tires (factory silver rims) which I really liked for having a dedicated aggressive winter tire (currently installed) on one set and an all-season set on the other to maximize the life of the tires. It also has weather tech floor mats. 
Another great feature is it has a tow hitch! I&amp;rsquo;ve actually used the Subaru to tow my dirt bike out to the desert a few times and it worked really well and makes it super convenient for that or hauling small trailers. I&amp;rsquo;m asking $5999, but am willing to negotiate with a serious buyer. Cash sale, not interested in trades. Thanks for looking!
