This Land Rover has been our favorite car that we have ever owned. We're sad to sell it.
First of all, mechanically, this car is in very good condition. We have been religious about oil changes and maintenance. Almost all of our service has been done at either the Land Rover dealership in Centerville or Integrity First in West Jordan. I don't trust too many other mechanics to work on Land Rovers. I have had some minor fixes done at Frank's Auto in North Ogden.
A couple months after buying the car, we had to replace the transmission (which the mechanics told us is extremely rare). That was at about 160k miles. The newer transmission had about 30k miles on it and is from a 2007 LR3. The transmission has been flawless ever since. I just got the car checked out last week at the LR dealership and they said the engine seems to be in great shape, the brake pads and rotors have a lot of life left, it has a brand new battery, brand new tires, and everything seems to be working very well. All the suspension components have been replaced as part of regular maintenance within the last 25k miles or so, including the air compressor for the air suspension. We also put a new battery in the car a couple weeks ago. The cruise control wouldn't work occasionally so the mechanic cleaned the mass airflow sensor a couple weeks ago and now it seems to work fine.
As of right now, we don't know of anything mechanical that is not working well. It doesn't leak or burn oil and has never overheated or even gotten slightly warm, even when towing a trailer uphill in the heat of the summer. It really is in great shape and should have lots of life left in it.
The exterior is in pretty good condition. It is a great looking vehicle but it does have its fair share of scratches and a few small dents, particularly a few above the front passenger door that I caused when trying to break into the car after we locked the key in it.. I've tried to include photos of all the damage. Along the roof above the passenger doors the paint is fading. Otherwise, the exterior is in very good condition for the year.
The interior is in fair condition. The leather has been well-used on the driver's and passenger front seat, though the only real obvious tear is on the front of the driver's seat. There is still plenty of life left in them, they just don't look new. Also, the armrests on both the driver's and passenger's side front seats are worn (see photos). The leather on the middle row and third row are in good shape, though a little discolored in places. We've just had child car seats and booster seats in them since we've owned the car and the third row has mostly been folded down.
This is a 7-seater and the way the seats are designed, it is the most versatile vehicle I've ever used. All of the seats fold separately so you can choose any seating arrangement you would like. You can fold all the seats down flat into the floor as well (see photos).
Our family spends a lot of time in the mountains and this vehicle has exceeded our expectations again and again with its off-road comfort and capability. Though we haven't done a lot of hard off-roading with it (mostly driving on bumpy dirt roads to get to trailheads or to go camping), we did go to Moab once when we first got the car five years ago and we couldn't believe how well it did. It kept up with our friend's Jeep Wrangler no problem.
It is full-time 4-wheel-drive with an electronic center differential lock (locks automatically when wheels slip), a low-range transfer case, and an amazing traction control system that will get you through just about anything. It also has air suspension which allows you to raise or lower the clearance of the vehicle depending on whether you're driving on or off road. The air suspension is quite smooth as well.
I commute up over a steep mountain pass each day for work and I take this vehicle when the weather is bad. It never struggles, even in the worst blizzards, assuming I have decent tires. My wife also loves driving it because she feels safe in snowy weather and feels like she can see everything because you sit up so high.
I put on aftermarket suspension rods on the vehicle that lifted the vehicle 2" so it could fit slightly larger tires. It has brand new Cooper ATP 33" tires. Because of this, the gas mileage probably isn't quite as good as it could be. I usually get about 14 city, 19 highway. I still have the stock suspension rods if you want to lower the vehicle to stock height, though you would need to then put slightly smaller tires on or they would rub when turning hard. Swapping the suspension rods out is super easy. It takes about 10 minutes. Lots of Youtube videos to show you how.
Some of the cool, unique features include air suspension, lots of cupholders, a fridge (cooler box) in the center console, three sunroofs, massive windows so you can see everything, tow package, split tailgate, stadium seating for 7 adults, terrain response setting (twist the knob to choose the right settings for the conditions), AC for all three rows, etc. Lots of cool stuff.
A couple things I just remembered . . .
The struts on the hood are old (I use a hiking pole to keep the hood up) and the struts on the rear hatch are getting old. They work in warm weather but the rear hatch slowly sinks down in the cold. I just use the same hiking pole to keep it up. Also, the headrest is missing on one of the seats in the middle row. It was missing when we bought it but didn't worry about finding a replacement because our kids have been in carseats.
Anyway, feel free to call or text if you have any questions. I'm asking $5k or best offer.

Selling my 2009 Lincoln MKX all wheel drive. Just spent $480 yesterday to have it gone through and worked on the only recommendation he has is that the rear axle seal is leaking. Replaced a mount that was torn. Runs great. 20" rims, 3 DVD players, one in the center and one behind each front seat head rest. Navigation, back up alarm, remote start, auto lift hatch. Leather interior, Heated and cooled front seats back seat is also heated. Has tow package but never used for more than a bike rack. Has rubber and cloth floor mats. New tires as of last month. Year old starter, Also just replaced all 6 ignition coils and spark plugs, gets around 18mpg average Vehicle overall is really nice,
it has a few cosmetic flaws you can see in the pictures. Driver's seat leather is a little warm, rear driver's side seat stitching is come undone in one spot, few scratches on body worst on driver's side back door, looks like someone took a broom to it or something, rims have some nasty road rash. The front passenger inside door handle is peeling but I bought a new one. Sun roof glass is closed and does not open but cover works fine. Clean title. Call with any questions I have owned it since 98000 miles.
