2012 Ford Expedition EL XLT in immaculate condition with several factory upgrades. Upgrades include leather, power front seats, heated and cooled front seats, automatic running-boards, power folding rear seats, HD tow package, sunroof and Weather Tech mats. $58,000 just eight years ago. This vehicle was babied and well-maintained with service records from an elderly couple whom I purchased it from earlier this year. I purchased with the intention of it being our road trip vehicle and have already taken it on one trip to California. It ran great and served its purpose, but we aren’t really taking trips anytime in the near future and I really need a pickup truck.
I purchased it with 99k miles and it now has approximately 105k miles. I put a ton of money into preventative maintenance ($2k) and purchased the best Ford 3yr / 36k Extended Service Plan available ($3k), right after I bought it (it is transferable and good through 136k miles or through mid 2023). The preventative maintenance was done at Christian Brothers Automotive in Windsor and included the following:
-New spark plugs and coils
-New serpentine belt
-Front/rear differential and transfer case service
-Coolant Flush
-Decarbonization/injector cleaning service
-Oil change
After our trip to California, I noticed a leak. It was a pinion seal. Thankfully, the extended service plan covers it and it is at the dealer getting that fixed now. I asked the dealer to thoroughly look through the whole vehicle and to go ahead and fix or replace anything they could find, if there was anything, that could be covered under the extended service plan. I think that must be music to a dealers ears as they called me back and are going to be replacing several things with brand new parts (probably $7500 worth of parts/service)!
I can’t imagine there is a better cared for or more well maintained and strong running 2012 Expedition on the road anywhere. I should have it back and be ready to show it next week sometime, and I am happy to answer any questions until then.
Thanks for looking.
