Sold by a friend. Been in a minor accident, still drives smooth but needs a steering column and alignment. And body work. Other than that the vehicle is in good condition no major problems. Runs smooth. Selling it for more room in garage. Or else I would keep it. But needs to be sold

For your consideration is a 1949 Chrysler Windsor. There was not a Windsor option in the listing. I took this car as a trade recently & do not know much about it. I have another project in mind so I'm going to let this gal go.
The original flat straight six spitfire engine fires & runs. She drives however is quite a challenge. The "safety clutch" return spring doesn't work so a hose clamp has been put in place to lift the pedal manually. The brakes stop the car however if they're pushed to the floor I had to use my toe to pull the pedal back up. The steering is all there however she wanders pretty drastically. All the glass is there, some of the glass is on the rough side. The seats have been recovered & a headliner installed. A 12volt conversion was started & will need to be gone through & finished. Currently the radio, wipers & such need to be finished as well as some work on the signal lights. The body with the exception of the rear drivers side fender is pretty straight. There are a couple rust spots noticed on the rear & a hole in the trunk where the spare tire would sit. The rear has been lowered with blocks, easy enough swap of you don't dig the stance. New battery. Ignition switch has been replaced. Starter sticks at times, could be a 12v conversion issue or the starter is going. Radiator has been replaced & upgraded.
The heater hoses have been cut & capped, there may be a heater core in the cab, I'm not sure. Looks like the blower & box assembly is missing. A set of Chrysler hub caps are in the trunk. The exhaust is cut off right at the manifold.
I made a quick video of the engine running here. https://youtu.be/YZti0UenakE
Overall this is a great start on a project. Im finding similar cars missing half the glass & no power train going for 2500.
I'll post more pictures when the weather is more suitable. I'll also update as I figure more out.

Only 1,734 1942 Windsor Club Coup’s were ever built, and that was nearly 80 years ago… to make this vehicle even more unique, it is a super rare “one year only” production model. You’ll be hard-pressed to find another car like this
This vehicle is a1942 Chrysler Windsor club coupe. KSL does not have the Windsor option because it is so rare.
Only a handful of these were ever built before the Chrysler factory was thrust into manufacturing war implements for World War II. This vehicle is extremely, extremely rare.
I have stripped the vehicle down, so the pictures look like things might be missing. But, I have all the trim, windows, interior, decals, etc. it is surprising how complete this vehicle is.
Has flat head 6 engine and Fluid drive transmission still in the vehicle.
Trunk pan and a little of the floor plan are rusted. Both parts can be purchased online for a similar model.
Sweet, sweet car. Bought it as a project, but I don’t have the skill set to do this thing justice. I’d rather see it restored by someone who knows what they are doing instead of me turning it into a rat rod.
