This is our 2005 Volkswagen Jetta GLS TDI Wagon. A 5-speed manual transmission paired with an upgraded turbo diesel engine with the space of a wagon makes this a special car. We have purchased a new car and are parting with our loved wagon.
The interior is well kept including leather heated seats, sunroof and Carplay/Android Auto stereo. We have spent nearly 12 grand upgrading and maintaining this car like it deserves and have extensive service and parts records.
This TDI comes with 2 sets of floor mats, a set of OE 17” VW Long Beach wheels with BRAND NEW General G-Max As-07 tires and a set of OE 15” wheels with 1 yr old Bridgestone Blizzak WS-90 winter tires. Oil and fuel filter changes have been kept up with meticulously. Almost every suspension part was replaced last year and upgraded such as Bilstein shocks, H&R OE Springs, front control arms, Seat Cupra rear axle beam bushings and front axles. A Frost heater is also installed, allowing the car to be plugged in on winter nights so the car starts in the morning up to temp with immediate heat.
This VW has an upgraded turbocharger with a Malone Stage 1 tune, along with a Dieselgeek short shifter that has been installed. I have 2 roof racks and a number of other parts and Original equipment that will come with the sale.
All maintenance during my ownership has been performed by trusted mechanics at Utah Imports in SLC or RSR Motorsports in Layton.
This wagon has over one thousand dollars just in new tires. Keep this drivers car for many good miles to come or take the thousands of dollars in parts off for your own VW.
Rebuilt Title.
In 2024 I was sideswiped at low speeds causing damage to the bodywork and a broken windshield wiper stalk. The stalk was replaced with a brand new part by RSR Motorsports in Layton. The car was totaled by insurance but we kept the car as the accident had no negative effect on drivability. I have photo documentation of everything and can provide upon request.
The car currently has a check engine light and low power for code P0299 (Boost Pressure Regulation: Control Range Not Reached). I have not had time to diagnose the issue extensively but suspect the VNT actuator is clogged with carbon or failing. This is a $100 dollar part. I do not anticipate it is a turbocharger failure as it was replaced 5 years ago with a Garrett VNT-17 turbo. The car previously passed emissions and inspections faultlessly but will likely need this fix before passing emissions again.
Feel free to reach out with any questions. I am very knowledgeable about these cars, having owned multiple VW’s and TDI’s.
