Sorted E39 M5 - Tons of Restoration Work, Just Needs a New Home.
I originally purchased this car back in 2019 to add to my collection. A good friend of mine, a lifelong car guy and recent military retiree, bought it from me shortly after. It wasn't for sale, but he'd always wanted one. Life has shifted for him, and with too many cars in the stable, I can’t take it back… so it’s time for someone else to enjoy it.
Has heritage leather, intensive wash (disconnected), non-fold down rear seats.
I do have all of the stock bits if anyone would like something un-done. Also, as it's at my shop, if there is anything you want addressed that we did not address I will do so at cost.
Details:
Purchased with just 49k miles
Carfax shows a “structural damage” mark from 2009. However, as those familiar with my builds and our shop work can attest, I’m meticulous. We had this car fully disassembled when I bought it, aside from a respray on the rear bumper, there's been no evidence of structural issues.
The car has since received the full “old BMW refresh” from my crew. Tons of restoration and mechanical updates done. It drives beautifully - tight, clean, and with the right sound.
The Good:
New battery (last month)
Brand new key (with a spare)
Freshly rebuilt sunroof
Fresh graphite interior trim
Heritage leather
Power steering pump from a 29k-mile donor (thanks, Adam!)
Brand new OEM mirror glass (both sides)
Wheels refinished in Shadow Chrome II (Prisma Powder Coat)
BlueBus Bluetooth integration
Rebuilt rearview mirror (Fixels)
Instrument cluster pixels repaired (Fixels)
A/C freshly charged
New door lock actuators
New driver’s window motor
Full suspension refresh (Front Refresh Kit Level 2 poly rear LCA bushings)
New OE shocks / Struts
Custom @Sriufke center console and shift boot (they look amazing)
Custom made floor and trunk mat from the Custom Mat Co in Florida!
New brake lines, rotors, pads, and full flush
New spark plugs
New oil pan gasket
Ultimate valve cover gasket
New radiator fan clutch
Turner Motorsports Read Diff (REM Polished, REM Gear polishing, 3.23 ratio, "Stage 3" clutch 30/90 variable ramp - this was $5300)
New belts & tensioners
UUC Ultimate Short Shift Kit
Evolve headers Supersprint exhaust
JB Racing lightweight aluminum flywheel & clutch kit (plus pivot pin retainer spring)
RK Tunes flash tune from Jordan
Zero leaks. Drives and sounds perfect
This is a solid, sorted car for someone who knows what they're looking at. Serious buyers only. If you have to talk to a bank to get a loan this is probably not your car. No trades. No brokers.
