$4.5k as is! $5k if you want a new windshield and key!
Hi! I’m selling my 2009 BMW 535i Xdrive because I am moving to Texas, and I am only taking 1 of my 3 cars! I also have a 2012 BMW X3 3.5 for sale! BMW Enthusiast and Mechanic owned! This has been an AWESOME car! This has been my daily driver since 2021. I bought it with 87,000 miles! I have done tons of maintenance, and it shows, as this car runs and drives really well! Of course, it’s a 16 year old car, so it’s not perfect. I believe in full transparency, so I will be happy to point out all of its flaws. But honestly the pros FAR outweigh its cons!
PROS and Awesome features of this car include
-All wheel drive and All Weather tires. This car is PHENOMENAL in the snow! Tires still have about 50% life in them!
-Heated front seats and heated steering wheel! Once you try it, you’ll never go back!
-Sunroof
-Adaptive headlights
-Automatic Headlights
-Powerful N54 engine (300hp and 300 torque)
-Windshield is cracked(Con), but I will replace it for you (Pro) if you pay my asking price (Which is already priced low because I need to sell fast!)
-Fresh oil change last week!
-Comes with some brand new suspension parts that I never had time to install. I kinda went crazy, and bought EVERY suspension part for this car, even the ones it didn’t need.
-Leather is in really good condition
-Aux cord
-Bluetooth calling (not bluetooth audio)
-Comes with carpet and rubber mats
-Comes with BMW e60 sun visor
-A/C is ICE COLD
Some of the maintenance that I’ve done to it since I’ve owned it include… This is just the bigger stuff, definitely not all of it! I have a spreadsheet of the work that I’ve done to it, but the last couple of years I’ve been kinda bad at tracking it.
-Oil changes every 5k miles with Liqui Moly and Mann Filters
-Front and rear brake pads, rotors, and rear parking brake shoes
-ENTIRE front end suspension has been replaced
-Rear shocks and upper control arms JUST replaced
-Rear diff fluid
-Oil filter housing gasket
-Valve Cover
-Belts and all oulleys
-Blower motor and resistor
-Boost Solenoids
-Expansion tank
-All Vacuum lines
-Both xenon headlight bulbs
-New fog lamp assemblies
-New fender turn signal assemblies
-Fuel filter and fuel line
Cons include
-The clear coat on the hood is fading. Not peeling, but it’s fading. I call her a 10 footer, cuz it looks great from 10 feet away. See pics.
-Small oil leak from the oil pan gasket that I wont be fixing. The car requires 1qt of oil at about 4500 miles after an oil change. In fact, it’s kind of nice, because when the car pops up and says it needs 1 qt of oil, I know it is getting close to oil change time. So what it leaks what it burns (every car burns a little bit of oil) is about 1qt/4500 miles, which is a really small oil leak! I NEVER see anything on the ground. I just clean the splash panel every oil change.
-It does throw the occasional 30FF code (low boost). If you know N54 engines, you know that this is a common ghost code that people spend thousands of dollars trying to track down. I have been trying to find the cause of this code since I bought it, and I’ve never been able to remedy it. The car will throw a half check engine light (yes, It’s a thing, half check engine light) ONLY during the summer months. It NEVER throws the 30FF code in the winter. So weird. This code does not affect the way the car drives. The boost is just fine. And all you have to do to get rid of the half check engine light is to turn the car off and back on. I would say in the summer months it throws this code about 1-5 times per month.
-Again, the windshield is cracked. But I will have it replaced for you if you pay my asking price!
Geez. I think that’s it. I’m sure I forgot some stuff. Again, I’m not about selling cars to people without full transparency. It is a used car, so it’s not perfect but, this really is a great car, and has served me very well. If you have any questions, I would be more than happy to answer them.
