1979 Pontiac Firebird
Just had the Pontiac 455 rebuilt.
I had Cleggs Engine in Orem build a short block with
Icon Forged pistons bored .060 over
Brand new Crank from Eagle Specialty
New double roller timing chain
Comp Cams XE274 (it sounds great)
I had them resurface the block and the heads,
Had them balance the rotating assembly
Pontiac big valve #16 heads,
New high torque starter from jegs,
Brand new high pressure Milling Oil pump
Brand new high flow water pump, stays pretty cool for being bored over
All the seals are new it was a total rebuild.
Brand new clutch, with a 4 speed manual behind it, I just changed the oil in it
The rear end is a GM 10 bolt with posi-traction.
New Power steering pump,
Front structs and shocks and bushing replaced recently.
Brand new headers that have been Cerakoted.
Edlebrok performer Intake, pulleys, timing cover, brackets, and oil pan have all been powder coated.
Brand new Holley brawler 750cfm mechanical secondaires carb.
Brand new airfilter
New fuel lines
New steering wheel
New Vintage gauges and speedometer, I don’t know the mileage of the car since when I got it it didn’t come with any gauges, I’ve put just over 1,000 miles on it since I’ve owned it.
Redid the wiring last winter
Interior is alright for a car of this age
The body is pretty strait and good, there is a dent in the drivers side door.
The only spot I’ve spotted rust is underneath the left rear quarter panel. You can’t even see it unless you look underneath the car.
The paint is getting old and the clearcoat has started to peel.
Really fun car to drive, super quick!
Selling because I can’t really afford it anymore and moved onto other projects.
Can only show on weekends,
18,000 O.B.O
