1995 Mazda MX-5 Miata M Edition
$6,950 OBO
Bought earlier this year for track days to work up to getting my racing license, now selling to get a race-spec Miata. Has worked great for me, used it as a daily for the first month I had it with no issues. Clean title.
Not interested in selling the hardtop separate.
*Decals/numbers can be easily removed.
I still have the interior parts that were stripped out for weight in the box pictured (along with other misc parts) if you want to put it back together. Also have a seat slider that can be installed to make one of the seats adjustable (currently fixed in place).
Oil changed after every track weekend with high performance Redline 5W30 oil. Maintained meticulously for reliability.
AC & Power Steering have been removed for track benefits, but can be reinstalled. I believe I have those parts in the spares box as well.
Driver's harness SFI certified until July 2027, passenger certified until Dec 2025 (I have another Corbeau harness that is the same as the passenger side harness that will be included if you want).
Tires should probably be replaced. There is a good amount of life left in them in the contact points for normal road driving, but having tracked the car on the tires for a few weekends, there is a lot of blistering on the outer walls from high lateral load.
Car is registered in Tennessee. As it is now, I don't believe this will pass emissions in Utah due to the upgraded intake and headers, but can be converted back to stock (or registered where emissions isn't needed) to 100% pass. It will be street legal for 60 days after a title transfer, so if you purchase you can get a temporary tag to give you time to do so.
History:
The seller I bought it from had it built out for track days, but didn't end up getting around to tracking it. It was bought by him from a seller in California, but not much was known from that.
When they built it out (most work done by Fast Garage, who I highly recommend, great shop with a lot of Miata knowledge), they replaced the engine and many other parts listed below. There are some quirks still from the original California owner, most notably the dash seems to be from a 1990-1993 Miata while this is a 1995, so some of the fitment doesn't line up perfectly, but other than that I haven't noticed anything.
Odometer reads 259,XXX, but that is not accurate for the engine as it was replaced. Odometer is omitted on title.
Runs and starts great. There is a slight rattling noise that can be heard in the video coming from the cat (possibly something loose in it), has not been an issue, just a little annoying. Tends to idle low, and will rev up a little then down while stopped sometimes. With that being said, both these things have never been a problem for me.
