2011 Toyota RAV4 — Reliable 4WD SUV with Great Upgrades

Selling my 2011 Toyota RAV4. It currently has a cold-engine rattle and a “chugging” sound at low RPMs — my mechanic diagnosed it as needing a timing chain and sprocket replacement. I don't have the time, but once that’s addressed, this car should easily run another 50,000 miles.

Otherwise, it’s been a fantastic and reliable SUV with several upgrades and regular maintenance:

• Upgrades: CarPlay-compatible stereo deck (lightning cable), backup camera, fog lights, WeatherTech floor mats, and custom trunk storage with an extendable flat platform (fits a full air mattress — I’m 6’1” and can sleep comfortably in the back).

• Maintenance: Regular oil changes and tire rotations. Recently replaced spark plugs, ignition coils, timing chain tensioner, and serpentine belt. Oil pressure is good, and the timing chain guides are in good condition.

• Tires: All-weather tires with roughly 20,000 miles of tread remaining.

• Performance: One of the last RAV4 models with true 4WD low — great for camping, road trips, and winter driving.

This car has been well-loved and would make a great adventure or daily driver once the timing chain is replaced.
