The corolla has been in the family since 2008 (new). Regularly maintained, oil changed every 5,000 miles. Clean title. No pets or smoking. Used as a commuter car. No big or unusual mechanical issues. Replaced air bag sensors maybe 6 years back, but that is the only unplanned maintenance it has ever had that I can recall.

Overall, the car is in great shape. I have driven it for the past 9 years. Prior to that it was a family member who used it for commuting from 2008-2016. For the life of the car I can guarantee that it has always been driven conservatively and cared for. It may have many years left if this continues. It runs great, I will list all the work I’ve had done on it recently below.

Recent Maintenance/Upgrades:

August 2025:

• Oil change - have used synthetic blend the past 5 or so years

• New serpentine belt

• New battery (Costco)

• 2 new headlights (name brand)

• Coolant/Radiator fluid flushed and replaced

• Tires rotated (Michelin)

• Brakes inspected

November 2025:

• Headlight lenses sanded and polished for like-new clarity (huge upgrade)

• Car detailed

Other FAQ:

• I am selling because I upgraded to a new car

• The spark plugs are due to be replaced (jiffy lube quoted me $175 with a coupon but I ran out of time)

• Accidents: 2018 rear ended. Minor cosmetic damage, the rear bumper was removed to inspect and there was no structural damage that would impact the integrity of the car. So I declined to have the minor cosmetic damage on the paint fixed.

• The check engine light has come on intermittently (about once or twice a year for 2 years) and clears itself after a day or so — no performance issues noted

• The clear coat on the front, top and rear of the car is mostly gone. Many other 2007/2008 corollas on the road have the same issue. It hasn’t impacted the mechanical performance for me.

• It has other small dings/scratches on parts of the paint

• The interior is in great cosmetic condition. It has always been kept clean.

• The windshield wipers were replaced last winter

• Great gas milage, has always been over 30, sometimes 34-35 mpg on the highway
