If you can't drive manual, bring someone who does if you plan on a test drive.
Everything works great, heat/ac, windows, speakers. Car drives and shifts good. Despite it's looks, it's actually a very fun car to drive.
It's surprisingly spacious on the inside with large windows and plenty of foot room in the front and back. The back seats fold down and create enough room to fit a full size mountain bike with room for 3 passengers still. Overall, this is a very practical car. I typically get around 21mpg exclusively driving city, so not bad for it's age. Clutch bite point is still reasonably low to the floor so that has some life left.
Cons:
The car is high milage, and does burn a bit of oil. I've been mindful of that throughout my ownership and I top it off regularly. I will include 3.5qt of 5w-20 I bought for the car. Tread is okay on the back tires, the fronts are a bit lower. The back tires are pretty old and have significant dry cracking. So it will likely need new tires at some point soon. With that said, it does have a good spare. It currently has a low tire pressure light, but I've checked all tire pressures and they seem normal, this came about when it started to get cold. Aside from mechanical the exterior has some dents and dings. as well as clear coat failure.
Maintenance Done:
We changed the oil right when we bought it. It's probably about time for another change. Battery, alternator, serpentine belt have all been replaced. I have the serpentine belt tensioner too that we couldn't get to replacing with the tools we had when we did the repair. The one on there spins good so we were fine leaving that as is.
Though it has some flaws, it's a decent car that should be a good investment to get you to and from work and what not for years to come. This was my daily for about 10 months and then I found another car that suits my needs a bit better, so I've started driving that. Otherwise I'd probably drive this thing till the wheels fall off. I'm asking 2500 obo. Text and KSL message prefered. Though if you'd like to schedule a call I can make something work there too. No Dave codes or John reports.
