When replacing the oil pressure switch, the spot on the engine block where it screws into broke open revealing the threads. If you know how to do a thread insert repair or could use the parts on this car, then this might be great for you!! The last couple of pictures show where it happened and you can see where it broke off.
I’ve had this Prius for the last 7 years and put 85,000 miles on it. In that time, I’ve only had to replace struts outside of regular maintenance that I always did myself. It has multiple dings in it but always ran great as a commuter and family car until I needed to replace the oil pressure switch. The hood hinge on the passenger side is also broken, but it stays in securely when down.
Cosmetically, it’s rough but mechanically great minus the whole needing to be rethreaded.
