This is a tough one to let go. But, the time has come.
My dad bought this car when I was 14 in 1998 and it was the first car that I drove. For a brief time it was owned by a guy in Idaho who stripped the body down, filled holes, fixed any rust, and did the red "rhino lining" on the exterior. He also added the running board steps.
It is an old car, but runs great! Fires up every time. Last year I spent about $7,000 doing a lot of work to it. New exhaust system. New radiator. New oil pan. Viking Automotive did all the work and is very familiar with the car. I also put brand new tires on as well. Less than 100 miles on the tires.
There are a few quirks for sure right now with the car and its age. The handle on the drivers door kept getting stuck so I removed it to work on it and have not put it all back together. The electrical is a little off, even though it doesn't get much simpler on these cars. As such, there is no horn or fan for the heater. The lights all work on the dash etc. I do have some soft doors as well, and maybe still have the soft top, but will have to check for sure.
