A solid 2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty with the 6.8L V10 gas engine and 4×4. Crew cab (6 seats), short bed (6.5), and set up for towing with a gooseneck. This has been a dependable truck and runs and drives well. We just got a 1 ton, and a 2wd so we didn't need this one anymore.
Details:
V10 6.8L gas
4×4 with manual locking hubs
Crew cab, 6.5’ bed
Gooseneck hitch
7-pin & 4-pin trailer wiring
Sliding rear window
No check engine lights
Shifts good
Recent work:
Spark plugs done ~5k miles ago
Ball joints and tie rods just replaced
No fluid leaks
Things to know (priced accordingly):
Title due to theft recovery, not an accident (I have before-repair photos)
Cab heat works but takes some driving to warm up (engine temp is normal)-normal for these trucks.
Tires need replaced now— two are almost completely worn out. (can get new ones if needed for a loan)
Crack on passenger side of windshield (can negotiate if needed for a loan)
Normal cosmetic wear for age (paint fade, minor rust)
Interior is clean overall; center cupholder trim missing but usable
Cuts in front seats from theft
Spare tire crank is broken-
Missing gooseneck safety chain mount points (parts in truck though)
Slight play in steering, age and mileage appropriate. Probably would be fixed with a new gearbox/pitman arm
I'll be working on some of the minor things and will update.
