This 1934 Chevrolet Phaeton is a fully hand-built custom street rod, completed over an extensive 3½-year build with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship throughout. Every component was carefully selected, fabricated, or refined to create a cohesive, show-quality build that blends classic pre-war styling with modern performance and reliability.
The foundation begins with an Old Chicago fiberglass body finished in a House of Kolor custom paint system by Bob Pierson, delivering deep, high-end show-quality color and finish. The exterior is further enhanced by Superior Glass Works hood and radiator shell, King Bee headlights with integrated turn signals, billet tail lights, Mr. Foose side mirrors, Southco hood latches, and Tillo Graphics hand-painted pinstriping. Colorado Custom one-off wheels complete the stance with a refined yet aggressive presence.
Underneath, the car rides on a fully custom-built frame, powder-coated to match the body color. Suspension duties are handled by polished all-aluminum C4 front and rear suspension components, providing modern drivability and handling. Stainless steel brake lines and fittings ensure durability and reliability.
Power comes from a 1986 LT1 engine paired with a 4L60 automatic transmission. The engine bay is highly detailed with a Street & Performance dress-up kit, HTP headers, polished stainless steel exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, Walker aluminum radiator with overflow, Rock Valley polished stainless steel fuel tank, stainless steel fuel injection filter, Gotta Show stainless steel power steering hoses, Aeroquip A/C fittings and hoses, Tuff Stuff polished alternator, A/C condenser and power steering components, and an Optima battery. An Achilles oiling system upgrade isn’t needed here—this LT1 setup is already purpose-built for reliability and performance in a street application.
Interior craftsmanship matches the exterior quality. Real alligator leather upholstery, Glide Engineering seats, and a Hot Rods by Dean winged bezel dash create a luxurious yet period-correct aesthetic. Classic Industries gauges, Vintage Air heat and A/C, Specialty Power Windows, keyless entry, and a Flaming River polished push-button start column with backup key modernize the driving experience. A Billet Specialties 14-inch Stiletto steering wheel, Lokar shifter, and billet throttle add refined custom touches.
The electrical system is equally meticulous, featuring a Painless wiring harness and Painless Classic Braid wire loom for a clean, professional installation.
Audio is handled by a Kenwood 9902 head unit with backup camera, Alpine V75 amplifier, JL Audio 8203 enclosure, and Alpine speakers, providing modern sound quality without compromising the classic aesthetic.
This 1934 Chevy Phaeton is not simply modified—it is a comprehensive, ground-up custom build executed with high-end components and cohesive design. A true showpiece that offers modern drivability, luxury craftsmanship, and timeless hot rod appeal.
