1961 Ford Falcon – Beautiful Original Example – 2-Door – Wimbledon White
I’m helping a friend sell her 1961 Ford Falcon. This car has a wonderful history and has clearly been loved and cared for throughout its life.
NOTE: The Falcon is located in Cottonwood Heights.
The Falcon was originally purchased new in 1961 from Bennett Ford in Salt Lake City by its first owner, who took exceptional care of it. She was known for being meticulous, and the car reflects that attention to detail. The Falcon remained in her possession until her passing in the 1970s, when it was inherited by her grandson. We purchased the car from him about ten years ago, and it was later enjoyed as a show car for several years.
The 2-door Falcon is especially desirable for its sleeker, sportier appearance compared to the more common 4-door models.
Details and condition:
•Believed to be original mileage: 106,000
•Repainted approximately 25 years ago in its original factory color, Wimbledon White
•Paint remains in excellent condition and has been garage-kept since repaint
•Interior is remarkably original and exceptionally well preserved
•Original OEM seat belts included (not required in 1961, see trunk interior)
•In-line 6 engine professionally rebuilt four months ago
•Transmission serviced with new fluid and filter; shifts smoothly
•Front brakes recently serviced with new shoes and wheel cylinders
•Brake fluid topped off
•Shock assemblies replaced
This is a beautiful, honest classic in outstanding condition, with great history and careful maintenance. It runs and drives well and would make an excellent show car, weekend cruiser, or collector vehicle.
Please review the photos and feel free to reach out with any questions.
