This jeep was driving very well until the starter stuck, as old jeeps in the day often happened. But my son had no idea how to fix it when it was happening by opening the hood and popping it one to get it to stop..... wire harness in an area melted. So: a complete brand new one is a grand. (Or you can go to a junk yard or cut out the area and fix that particular area that was damaged.) Probably needs a new starter due to what happened.
The rest was running great. It is the original engine, a straight 6 And it was running strong. I personally didn't want to sell it, I wanted to fix it and have fun up in the hills but life is always a juggle. I'd rather have it loved by someone who loves jeeps than sitting there.
I had leather seats made, they definitely need conditioned.
It is geared low. So highway speed is about 60 max. Best for in the hills or zipping around town. It's a nice ride. Has a soft top included. A front bumper tow bar also. Was a pampered jeep for years
I've had people stop and asked to buy it, offered five grand a few times, but due to the wire harness all goes as low as 4500. If it was in top-notch running, I could easily go above six
