2002 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4WD

TRD Tacoma Rims w/ KO2 tires. Rides at stock height.

Daily drove 40 miles in this rig for over 2 years, never failed to get me to work and back. Runs and drives good, all 4WD functions work. A fun rig for getting you where you need to go in the backcountry.

Replaced valve cover gaskets and cat at 245,000 miles. Oil changes every ~5000 miles. Frame is solid.

However, it has a check engine light: P0770 Shift Solenoid E. A common issue on these models that affects the torque converter lock up at highway speeds, (a fuel economy function) side effect is the gears switch on the freeway more often than they should. Besides that, the transmission shifts normally. Had a shop drop the pan and saw no signs of wear.

Also had a LBJ failure a while ago, hence the front driver’s side fender being out of place.
