1978 Jeep CJ-7 Golden Eagle Levi’s Edition – Frame Off Restoration – $26,500
True 1978 Jeep CJ-7 Golden Eagle Levi’s Edition with the factory 304 V8 and AWD Quadratrac. This is a complete nut and bolt frame off restoration.
The body was sandblasted on a rotisserie and professionally refinished in custom desert tan with three coats of matte clear. Interior floors sprayed with bed liner. 43,900 original miles and has less than 20 miles since completion of the restoration.
Engine has been completely overhauled and bored out. TH400 transmission professionally rebuilt by Browns in Billings, MT. Quadratrac transfer case, front and rear differentials have all been gone through and are fully functioning, including vacuum lines and low range.
New parts throughout:
Brakes, bearings, seals, tie rods, springs, shocks (2.5” suspension lift 1” body lift), oversized fuel tank, fuel lines, brake lines, master cylinder, Painless plug-and-play wiring harness, DUI ignition, fuel pump, water pump, alternator, starter, radiator, LED headlights/taillights, marker lights, rock sliders, windshield and to much to list.
Wheels have been sandblasted and powder coated. Comes with five new 33x12.50 R15 Goodyear MTR Kevlar tires.
Original Levi’s button seats and frames (frames refinished). Seats could be redone to finish it off. Needs bumpers and a top to complete, that’s it.
I have well over $40,000 invested. Priced at $26,500 because I’ve simply run out of time to finish the last small details.
This is a very solid, properly built CJ that’s extremely close to complete. Great off road rig or weekend cruiser.
Clean title in hand.
Have tons of in process photos documenting the restoration process, for serious inquires only.
