Posting for my brother: 2001 4Runner SR5 with incredible maintenance history and some tasteful upgrades. I am the 3rd owner and purchased it 10 years ago from a family member who owned it for most of its life prior to me. Throughout my ownership I’ve used Genuine Toyota parts as much as possible and premium synthetic fluids. It has a clean title and no mechanical issues. See list below of maintenance items and modifications/upgrades. To serious buyers I will provide a spreadsheet with more details maintenance.
The truck has some great modifications, but has only been off road a handful of times and treated with great care. It’s never been in mud or rivers, mostly a few dirt roads in the mountains, and some light trails in Moab. I have flushed and changed every fluid that exists on this truck in the last 2 years, and at least 2 times more in my ownership. Many people say “all fluids” and mention maintenance but they are only doing the engine oil. Let me be clear that if there is a system on this truck that requires maintenance or a fluid, I’ve replaced it and often times more than once. I’ve treated this truck as if I were planning to keep it in the best condition possible and drive it for the next several decades. 4WD works great.
Everything works except the power antenna. Frame and body are in excellent shape. There is a little corrosion on the rear axle, and one of the corners of the rear bumper. Otherwise very clean.
