welp, it gets you from point A to point B while looking like a dork. But half the time you're not even using gas, so joke's on everyone else.
the Gen 1 Volt is a weirdly reliable car for how cheap it is, but you might want to get a radiator protector, because I had to replace the radiator because gravel decided it likes to fly up into the radiator and poke holes in it. (I only found out about the protector after the fact.)
it'll get 30 plus miles of electric on a full charge in the summer, and complain all winter long. But you can still get a decent 25 miles out of it. Which is pretty impressive for a first generation primarily electric vehicle.
It needs an oil change (I'll probably get around to it pretty soon), new TPMS sensors, and a leather patch or two if that bothers you.
I got fed up with the paint chips so I repainted the hood and ceramic coated the whole car, but it still has a couple of dings and scratches I did not get to.
engine is solid, electric motor is essentially indestructible (coolant should be changed at 200 or 250k miles though), and battery is fine.
while I make no promises, my objective evaluation is that this daily driver has another 100 to 150k miles in it, and the component that will throw a code first will be the battery. (well, and tires of course. but not brakes because this car is weird)
Please text as I do not usually answer calls, does not come with charger.
