The 2000 Saturn L-Series (LS/LS1) with the 2.2L 4-cylinder engine generally achieves an EPA-rated fuel economy of approximately 20–21 MPG city and 29–30 MPG highway, with a combined average of about 23–24 MPG.
Engine: 137 hp, 2.2-Liter, Inline-4
Combined MPG: 23-24 MPG
City/Highway: 20-21 City / 29-30 Highway
Fuel Tank Capacity: 14.5 gallons
These figures apply to the LS Sedan and LW1 Wagon with the 4-cylinder engine. The 3.0-liter V6 models (LS2/LW2) have lower efficiency, typically around 18 city/24 highway.
I bought this car for my 16 year old, because I had the space, but I ended getting a vehicle for me, so, now I’m out of room. He doesn’t have his full license yet & I’ve got him covered when that time comes, so…here’s the details on the vehicle.
2000, Saturn LS1, manual. It runs and drives, but it needs regulators for 3 of the windows, will need a tune up, and possibly an up or downstream 02 sensor. The front right brake pads are starting to make some noise, but it’s still stopping just fine, I’m disclosing because I never sell a vehicle without telling someone everything I know about it.
The parts it needs are available at O’Reilly Auto Parts.
I bought the socket needed for the oil filter, and I got a new drain plug bolt because I was about to do an oil change. I’ll include these items with the vehicle along with a gallon of oil for the oil change. I’ve already repaired the seat (the cushion had fallen through, but I reinforced it & it’s working fine. I put a new used battery in it, and I changed the wiper blades. The heater works good and the A/C seems to work as well, but it will likely need the Freon refilled.
This vehicle should get good gas mileage & is a good running car. I listed this at night, so I didn’t have very good photos, I will update the ad with more photos as soon as possible.
