2004 Toyota Highlander AWD – Adventure-Ready, Clean Title – $5,000
Reliable 2004 Toyota Highlander with the V6 and AWD. This SUV has been in my family its entire life (my grandfather and me) and has been meticulously maintained. It currently has 198,942 miles and runs strong.
I’ve owned it for the last 13 years and have stayed on top of maintenance, including oil changes every 3,000 miles and two timing belt water pump replacements, so that major service is already handled.
Highlights:
V6 engine / All Wheel Drive
Clean title, no accidents
Only 2 owners
Cold AC / strong heat
Tinted windows
Front light bar hood ditch lights for great nighttime visibility
Upgraded headlights
Factory roof rack bars (great for a ski rack or cargo box)
2" hitch – has towed motorcycles, bikes, and drift boats with no issues
Original floor matts and additional rubber ones
Spare tire with all factory replacement tools
Tires and brakes still in good shape
Third row with two additional seats hidden in the back
Excellent in snow, dirt roads, and camping trips
Condition:
It’s a 22-year-old vehicle, so there is normal wear. Interior has some stains, though the seats have been protected by covers for the past 10 years. Small patch of rust starting on the roof and typical rock chips on the front bumper. When tires get low on tread there can be a bit of vibration feedback felt in the steering wheel. The feedback settles down with newer tires in my experience. The rear window behind the driver seat is currently off the track. Its rolled up but will not be able to be rolled down until the window is put back on the track.
This Highlander has been a dependable adventure vehicle for camping and exploring and still has plenty of life left.
