2006 Honda Civic LX Clean title with 373,750 miles on it. It possibly needs a new shift solenoid. It sometimes will do a hesitation shifting. It’s fairly easy to get to. The issue comes and goes.
I’ve owned it for the last 6 years, it’s been a commuter car back and forth from work. Most of the miles on it are freeway miles. I commute around 150 miles a day. I bought it with 140,000 miles on it.
At 240,000 miles the engine block cracked, It was a very common issue with these early model civics with the 1.8L, the casting is very weak on the outside. I ended up replacing it with an engine and transmission from Japan off eBay with 40,000-50,000 miles on it in May of 2023. So the current engine and transmission have around 180,000-200,000 miles.
Last month I did
Power steering pump
Serpentine belt
And coolant flush.
July 2025 I put a new set of Michelin Cross Climate 2s on it. They have about 20k miles the last set of them I got 90k miles out of them.
August of 2025 I did new iridium spark plugs.
I did the rear break shoes in the spring last year.
Fall of 2024 I know I replaced the tire rod endlinks and lower control arms.
February of 2025 I put a new upstream o2 sensor in it but when it gets cold outside it sometimes gets a catalyst below efficiency code but it normally goes away after 100 miles. It could be a bad sensor lol I cheaped out on it from eBay for 20$
On this motor I’ve done full synthetic oil changes at 5-7,500 miles so about every 4-6 weeks.
I have a bin of parts and send a picture of what’s in it if you’d like.
Intake manifold with throttle body
My original engines fuel injectors
Starter
Original stereo
Valve cover
Idler pulley (I think)
Alternator
Water pump (I think)
EGR valve
Random sensors
Transmission fluid (2 bottles)
I have two jugs of coolant for it, I just did a coolant flush last month and bought some when I already had some lol.
2 axles I don’t remember if they are good or bad ones.
And possibly some random motor mounts.
