TLDR: 126,355 miles. Runs great. Rebuilt title.
We bought a minivan, so we are selling this car.
This Mazda CX-9 has a rebuilt title. The owners before us bought the car as a rebuild and drove it to ~87,000 miles, at which point we bought it in 2018 and have driven it to 126,355 miles. We have had to do only one repair in our time owning this car. Any issues from it being a rebuild should have shown up long ago. Regular maintenance, such as oil changes and oil filter changes have been done every 5,000 to 10,000 miles. The car has been parked in a garage when not in use since 2019.
The car has run great for us, and I won’t be surprised if it easily makes it to 200,000. No check engine light. No hard shifts, and no concerning noises from the engine itself. Since the car is a touring trim, it has a great power-to-weight ratio that keeps it from feeling sluggish. The car is AWD and has 8 inches of ground clearance, which makes it a fun car to drive off-road. The car has an optional manual transmission mode to allow you to control the gear shifts, but I don’t use it that often, primarily for going down steep grades.
Don't ask me what color this car is. Mazda says it's green, my wife says it's gray, and I say it's blue. The world may never know.
This is a three-row car with seven seats total. All seats are gray leather with no tears. The 2nd row seats are able to slide forward and backward and lean forward so that individuals can access the 3rd row. For car seat installation, lower latch anchors on the outside seats of the 2nd row. Top tether anchors on all three seats in the 2nd row. No anchors on the 3rd row. The 2nd and 3rd row seats are able to fold down so they are flush with the floor, providing room for hauling large items.
The car has a hitch receiver and comes with an attachment for a hitch ball and a tow strap. Heated front seats. CD player. Aux plug. Two 12-volt plugs. (One in front, one in back.) Two key fobs. Tires are from Lesch Schwab tires, which come with all kinds of free maintenance and repairs on the tires. The tread on the tires is getting low and will need to be replaced fairly soon.
I replaced the high beam bulbs about a year ago. I had the power steering fluid replaced one month ago. I took out 5 ft of barbed wire fence six years ago and had a Larry H Miller dealership replace the broken trim. Then I bought a kit online to fix the scratches on the rear driver's side to prevent rust. I give my scratch repair visually a 4/10, but at least it won’t rust.
The car is covered with small chips and dents, and paint is falling off only on the front bumper, but no major cosmetic damage.
Some things the next owner could fix, or ignore, like I have.
Wirring sound from the passenger side of the engine bay on occasion. Generally, when the vehicle is warmed up and under load. It could be the steering pump, a worn idler pulley, or a bearing. Whatever it is, it does not affect the performance of the car. The driver's side A/C only semi-works, but everywhere else in the car it works great. The front passenger window will roll down, but not roll back up unless you manually help it. I think the bearing on the window motor is just stripped. The batteries on both key fobs are dead, so the buttons won't work until you replace those darn batteries, but the keys themselves work just fine. One of the brake rotors is warped slightly, and you can sometimes feel it when braking.
Message me with any other questions. Weekdays, I can show the car after 6pm or Saturdays anytime, usually.
