If you’re looking for a dependable, budget-friendly ride that’s proven it can go the distance, this 1995 Honda Odyssey might be exactly what you need.

With 321,000 miles, it’s lived a full life, but it’s been maintained and still runs and drives well. A lot of work has been done to get it where it is now. And now I need the money for a family trip.

The first-gen Odyssey is its own kind of vehicle, somewhere between a wagon and a minivan. It’s compact, easy to drive, and surprisingly versatile. All of the seats fold down or flip out of the way, which makes the interior a lot more useful than you’d expect.

Since I’ve owned it, I’ve done a full tune-up, brake pads, radiator, head gasket, and other miscellaneous repairs. The tires are also in good shape.

It’s not perfect. It has a cracked windshield and a few smaller things that still need attention. It’s a 30-year-old car, so set expectations accordingly. But it runs, drives, and will get you where you need to go.
