2016 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T TSI — Clean, well cared for, family-owned

This Passat has been an awesome car for our family — it was our first “family car” after our daughter was born, so it’s always been treated with care and driven responsibly. It’s been maintained on schedule (often early) and has been very reliable for us.

We truly weren’t planning to sell it, but we now own Teslas and don’t pay for gas anymore, so the Passat rarely gets driven — I’ve put roughly ~1,000 miles on it in the last year. I can’t justify keeping it just sitting, and it deserves to go to someone who will enjoy it and drive it regularly.

Why it’s a great car:

• 1.8T turbo — surprisingly quick and efficient
• It makes torque low, so in normal driving it rarely needs to go above ~2,000 RPM (the turbo spools early and it has plenty of power)
• Excellent gas mileage: about 40 MPG if driven efficiently
• Comfortable, spacious, and a great commuter/family car

• RGB LED footwell lighting (nice luxury look at night)

Maintenance / care:

• Regular oil changes and routine service kept up consistently
• It came with a Volkswagen lifetime warranty on the engine/drivetrain under my ownership (note: it does not transfer to the next owner)

Only issues to note (fully disclosed):

• The dual-zone HVAC blend door actuator needs installed (one side temp is off). I already have the replacement part included — just haven’t had time to install it.
• One side marker bulb is out — it’s subtle and hasn’t been an issue for me, but I want to be upfront.
