Purchased in 2021 as a tow vehicle for a 30’ Airstream. Only pulled the trailer ~2,000 miles before a renovation of said trailer took 3 years and never trailered it again. Hung on to the truck for its ability to drive in snow, camping, and periodic small trailering needs (moving / construction ). The Airstream is no longer around and I’m moving away from the snow and camping, so I have no need for such a workhorse of a truck.
If you're reading this, you’re likely already aware that this truck is a towing-monster (weighing ~7800 lbs.) and is super stable trailer-ing loads of ~9,000 pounds.
It has the Mega Cab body style which offers an absurd amount of space in the rear seat area.
This ‘500,000 mile’ 5.9L Cummins is pre-emissions / pre-DEF and has the common rail fuel injection (more power and reliability than the earlier 3rd generation VP44 injection system).
The entire fuel line injectors were completely redone at ~ 110,000 miles.
The 4WD is functioning well. It has the Laramie trim, a 6’2” bed, LEER camping shell, and a custom sleeping platform / drawer / and storage cubbies that are easily removable.
The odometer reads 182,620 miles. It has an automatic transmission that was rebuilt by J&G transmissions in Murray, UT at about 165k miles.
Front brakes were replaced in the past 1500 miles, and rear brakes about 12,000 miles ago. The batteries were replaced November ‘24, and the battery cable set was replaced in October 2025.
All four shocks were replaced ~ 20,000 miles ago.
The water (coolant) pump, AC compressor, and idler pulley were all replaced ~10,000 miles ago.
The truck is mechanically sound, but at 20 years old it has its bruises and rust (you'll see in the photos).
While this is not a show truck — it’s a solid, tested, powerful diesel with some common major mechanical work already handled (transmission fuel line).
