This is my 94 dodge Dakota. I bought it as a Covid project and have put a lot of work into it. It’s a midsize truck with the 5.2 v8, 5 speed manual, and 4x4.

The good:

Truck runs and drives and is street legal

No rust

New nv3500 transmission

New Wheels and Tires

Fresh fluids (engine oil, both diffs, transmission)

New tie rods

New cv axle

New front and rear shock absorbers

The bad:

Passenger door hinge is broken

4x4 shifter is missing

Engine backfires when cruising

Parking brake doesn’t work

I suspect the master brake cylinder needs replacement.

I have loved this truck but I no longer have the time or space for it. It would be a great project truck for a high schooler or someone who also loves 90s trucks. $1000 obo or a trade for a motorcycle/dirtbike.

I will be taking the truck into the mechanic this week for the master cylinder along with the backfiring issue and will update the post after that.
