The engine runs well and we recently replaced the battery. The problem is the transmission. The car is fine for 1st and 2nd gear, but it will not switch into 3rd gear. There have been instances where the car has jumped from 2nd gear to 4th gear. For someone who knows how to fix transmissions, it could be a quick fix - I don't know.
