Selling my 03 LB7 Duramax cause I’m trying to buy a house and a ring for my girlfriend (she doesn’t know about this listing 🤫…). Truck can be a daily vehicle, although I only daily this truck when my other two vehicles are being worked on. Other than that, this truck gets driven less than 500 miles a year over the last 3 years and I think it’s time for someone else to enjoy it.
This truck has had an extensive amount of work done to it over the years, including: EGR and DPF delete, 4 inch exhaust with one little MBRP muffler (this truck sounds super aggressive)
ARP head studs
30% over injectors, EFI live, titanium FASS fuel pump
Billet flex plate
Triple-disk torque converter, billet input/output shafts, dual clutch packs
Kryptonite control arms, ball joints, tie rods, and pitman arm
Brand new water pump
Lots of other goodies
Truck is lifted 6 inches I believe (I’ll measure the drop down brackets this week to be sure and revise this post accordingly). No check engine lights or any other warning lights. Heater and AC work awesomely. Head gaskets are solid (video taken on April 8th, 2026 for proof) and engine has absolutely no blow-by. It only lets me post 1 video but I can send another video or FaceTime for proof upon request, or you could just come check this thing out and see for yourself.
Now nothing this old comes without faults, right? A few known problems worth mentioning:
May need an oil cooler OR injector sleeves, as a super minuscule amount of oil has been found in the coolant reservoir (I’m positive the heads are good, that’s why I posted the video).
The headlight bulbs will need to be replaced
Gauge cluster reads accurately but the LED lights inside have died so will need to be replaced
Will need new leaf springs, as they’re making a creaking noise
Torsion bars may need new heim joints, as I’ve never replaced them in the 7 years I’ve owned this truck.
Driver master window switch is intermittently faulty with the rear window operation, and driver side seat heater switch is dead
The Saint George sun is beating the crap out of the paint job so it’s starting to flake in some spots (it was immaculate when I lived up north..)
Crackheads in Washington bent my fuel door trying to siphon fuel from the truck
Cabin light won’t stay in its place on the headliner and ripped one of the wires
Calling this truck a head turner would be an understatement. Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY, loves this truck. It is without a doubt the coolest vehicle I’ve ever owned. Everyone says they’re sad to see their vehicles go, but I might actually cry watching this one leave. I love this truck with every fiber of my being but it’s time for me to grow up and admit that I don’t need it.
And listen, I know what it’s listed for. I know what this thing is, good and bad. I have tried to be as absolutely up front as I possibly can. But I’m a reasonable person. I understand it’s far from perfect and will work out a deal with anyone who’s actually serious about this truck.
