Selling my 2005 Tribute. It’s been a reliable daily for years, and I’ve put some good money into it recently to keep it solid. This is the rare 5-speed manual version—much more durable and better on gas than the automatics.
The Good:
New Battery: Literally just put a brand new one in last month.
Tires: Only about 10k miles on these, plenty of tread left.
Bluetooth: Upgraded the radio so you can actually use your phone for music/calls.
Reliability: Manual transmission FWD makes this a simple, low-maintenance setup.
Clean Title in hand.
The Details:
Alternator: It just went out, so the car currently won’t start. I’m planning on replacing it myself within the week. If you want to take it as-is and do the swap yourself, you can have it for $2,000. Once I put the time in to fix it, the price goes up to $2,500.
AC: It needs an overhaul to blow cold. The heater works great. Repeat. The AC DOES NOT WORK
Shifter: It can be a little stiff/notchy sometimes, but it’s been like that for years and isn’t a big deal—just standard for an older manual.
This is a great, honest car for a student or anyone needing a cheap commuter in Davis County.
$2,000 cash today as-is, or $2,500 once the new alternator is in.
