1985 Volkswagen Vanagon

This classic 1985 Volkswagen Vanagon is a great little van that has run well and regularly maintained. It’s mostly original, with no aftermarket modifications beyond standard upkeep. While it has some aesthetic imperfections, it has run like a champ. Selling because I never have the time to do the regular maintenance or fixes older vehicles need.

Details:

Engine & Transmission: Runs well with regular oil changes- reliable but nothing fancy.

Mileage: Odometer hasn’t worked since I got it, so exact miles are unknown. It’s been regularly driven and well-loved, with plenty of life left!

Interior: Mostly original, meaning it has some wear but isn’t in disrepair. The back has newer carpet, seats are in good condition, and the heater works. There’s a new radio, but it’s not hooked up to the speakers yet.

Exterior: Original and unrestored—light rust spots, but no major damage. A few dents and aesthetic flaws, but would be an easy refinish with minimal bodywork needed.

Tires & Brakes: Newer, chunky tires that handle snow surprisingly well. Brakes work but might be due for replacement soon.

Known Issues: New battery, but there’s a minor electrical drain somewhere I haven’t tracked down yet. Like any classic vehicle, there’s always something to tweak and upgrade, but nothing that should keep it from the street!
