I have decided to sell my 1970 Mercedes 250 4 door Sedan.
I have finally realized I will never get to finish her up, the car still needs work to be drivable.
I have a Texas title in hand. The title is a salvage title, because the insurance company paid out on it and sold it at auction. The title is marked for flood damage.
Some of the wheels are missing a lug stud / bolt. There is paint wear and rust. I did see some small rust holes in the floor on the driver side. The exhaust was dragging, so the previous owner cut it off so the car is loud. The original carpet has been removed and it has an aftermarket kit in it now. The front door panels look to be missing a pocket. I saw no seatbelts in the car at all.
The windshield is broken with a hole in it that is covered in tape.
Has an aftermarket stereo that is missing the faceplate. Car has a straight 6 2.5L engine paired with and Automatic transmission.
The engine fires up and runs, but when it gets warm the carburetors (TWIN CARB) flood the engine and it won't start, so the car is NOT DRIVEABLE. It will drive up onto a trailer under its own power.
When it gets warm, the radiator starts to leak coolant, the engine leaks oil, and it leaks either transmission fluid or power steering fluid.
This car is not drivable as it is, you must pick it up with a trailer, it is rear wheel drive and should not be towed on a tow dolly. You must pick it up with a trailer, or arrange for a shipper to come and get it.
