2002 F-350 Lariat 7.3
Purchased from a construction company. This was the haul truck. When with the company it had a new motor and transmission with 160k, as well as a stage 2 tow/haul kit installed. Since purchase, I have done regular maintenance, always Motorcraft preferred parts or K&N. Rotella T4 oil. Oil has about 1100 miles since last change and fuel filter has about 2500 miles since last change. Fuel filter is motorcraft, oil filter is K&N. I recently replaced all major suspension components, including the 12pc front steering assembly, sway links, tie rod ends, bushings ect, and all around shocks. Wheels and tires are from a newer super duty series, they are 18" wheels. Tires are Cooper Discovery S/T Maxx 285/65R18, about 50% tread left. Wheels are also on 6061 t6 spacers. Truck is stock other than the stock airbox being replaced with a large tractor filter. The ignition switch is currently broken as well as the starter solenoid was bad and has been removed. The construction company had installed a push button start to bypass the ignition switch. keys are still required to turn the vehicle on, but the push button operates the starter. The last thing the suspension needs is u-joints on the 4x4 shaft, at 40-45mph you can feel them shake, by 50mph it goes away. Mechanically this truck is amazing, ive had no issues. In the winter it starts up after the first glow plug cycle. Cosmetically it needs work. The instrument cluster came from a 2003, as clusters are known to fail often, and on 2002-2004 it would control the windows and radio, its been in for about 2 years with no issues.
