Looking for a great base for a restoration project? I have a 1947 Studebaker Champion that I received from a friend. It was handed down from his family from the original owner (his grandfather). It has been in Utah it's whole life, and I have the title for it. it is rough, but all the panels are there and the floorpan is solid. I tried poking holes in common rust-through areas and couldn't get it to budge.
The pictures don't lie, it is rough inside and out. It is all original though, and glass is still available to purchase for it. It is a 3-on-the-tree manual with electric overdrive. I believe it has the 2.7L flathead 6 cylinder. The wife was all excited to have a project we could both work on right up until I rolled it off the trailer - and then she didn't want anything to do with it. I don't see myself getting around to it now.
Mileage on the ad is not accurate, but the picture of the odometer is. I was told it sat since the 70s in their field in Riverton. Most of the chrome is still there and the vehicle is complete. body damage is present and shown in pictures. I'm happy to answer any questions you have to the best of my knowledge.
