1987 Chevy Astro Provan Tiger - Low Miles, Classic Camper
Rare and ready for adventure. This 1987 Chevy Astro Provan Tiger (2WD) has under 48,000 original miles. I've owned it for the past 10 years (purchased from a family friend) and put about 10,000 miles on it. The odometer only reads to five places, see the picture. The family friend that I purchased it from was confident in the low miles, and my mechanic said the engine is in great shape and it is the original. I’m happy to discuss the history of this vehicle with any questions related to the odometer, or you can have a mechanic run an inspection.
We're only selling because we upgraded to a larger camper.
Highlights:
Runs and drives well
Fully functional camper setup: fridge, water system, heat, toilet, sink, and 3-burner stove
Clean for its age with typical 1980s wear and tear
Condition Notes:
Mechanic inspection last year showed no leaks or engine/transmission issues
Recommended upgrades: shocks and sway bars
Pop-top canvas shows its age-still functional, but one screen/window is starting to detach, and I would assume the canvas will likely need replacement in the next few years
Cabinets are solid and functional; could use some cosmetic TLC if desired
This is a great, compact camper you can enjoy right away and improve over time if you choose. I wouldn't hesitate to take it on a trip to Moab and back.
