1988 Ford F-250 XLT-Lariat 460 (gasoline) 4x4 single cab long bed
I’ve owned this truck for a few years now, and I’ve done a ton of work to it, cosmeticly and mechanically.
New paint, has a few runs and isn’t glossy
Brand new 10 ply 33” tires
Brand new LED headlights and LED cab lights
Brand new grill
Brand new F-250, XLT-Lariat, and 4x4 chrome emblems
Brand new rear bumper
Brand new front bumper (not installed but included)
Newly rolled on bedliner, though it has warn off in some spots
Extremely nice interior
Brand new steering wheel, doesn’t support cruise control, which was broken before I got the truck anyway. Horn button comes off easily, but is included for someone smarter than me to repair
Brand new custom re-upholstered bench seats
Brand new Boss Elite audio system that supports fm, am, aux and Bluetooth
2 extra speakers behind the seat, the 4 total speakers all work very nicely
New window cranks
New window weather seals
Newly installed ZF-5 5-speed manual transmission and all the clutch and cylinder components
New spark plugs, injectors, map sensor, tps sensor, starter, and starter solenoid
New LED lights for instrument/gauge cluster
New brake system, though E brake doesn’t work very well
With all the things I’ve added and fixed on this truck, there’s a few things that aren’t quite right
Engine runs, but won’t idle and won’t go more than about 45 mph. Leaks oil, has a couple wires chewed apart (I believe it’s to the mass air sensor but I’m not certain) and probably has some vacuum issues
All the transfer case linkage and the front axle driveshaft aren’t installed, but are included. The 4x4 worked amazingly before I removed the old transmission, it just needs to be put back together a bit. 2x4 works like normal without all of that installed
Beyond the headers, there isn’t an exhaust system. Engine is very loud
Speedometer doesn’t work, though I do have a GPS speedometer that could be installed, comes with truck if you want it
Rear fuel pump doesn’t work, front one is brand new
Overall the only reason I’m selling this truck is because of the engine. I’m not good at diagnosing mechanical issues, and I’ve put way too much money into it already to have someone else do it for me. I’d love to get $6,000 out of this truck OBO. Please shoot me an offer, and feel free to bombard me with questions. Located in south-east Idaho
